Janelle is the sister of a very good friend of mine from high school, (but I also consider Janelle to be a good friend too, haha) :) and I was over the moon when she asked if we were available to photograph her wedding day!
We always go on vacation every year with my entire family and the day we would normally be coming home is Janelle's wedding, so I decided that it's totally worth it to leave a night early so that we can be a part of her special day. My brother and SIL are also invited, so I knew they were going to want to leave a night early as well to attend the wedding...so it all worked out - now you know how special their wedding is to me considering I am leaving family vacation a day early to be a part of it ;) <3 <3 <3
When we were discussing engagement session locations, Janelle chose Nolde Forest because it has been on my bucket list of locations I want to try out (yay!) So I went to check it out (with my 3 kids in tow) a couple of days before their session, and this place is so much fun! They have this adorable kids play area, a creek, and then the beautiful mansion. This is definitely one of my new favorite locations! My kids loved exploring around....until it was past nap time and I ended up having to carry two of them the rest of the hiking trail. But it was worth it :)
Janelle & Josh enjoy riding motorcycle together, and they were originally going to bring their cycles along, but of course it was raining! SO we are totally planning on getting some motorcycle shots with them on their wedding day. These two were so easy going, gentle, and patient...and they didn't mind the rain, which is always a plus! They are both absolutely wonderful and I can't wait for their special day in just a short couple of weeks :)
