I'm so happy for the connection that Holly has with Rachel and that it led Rachel & Vlad to ask us to be their wedding photographers. Rachel's father was Holly's pastor growing up so she ended up knowing a lot of the guests at the wedding which is super fun. Rachel reminded me so much of myself, growing up as a PK (pastor's kid) and then having the opportunity to have her father marry her & Vlad. There were so many emotions!! And I must say that Rachel has THE BEST facial expressions...I was literally laughing out loud as I was going through editing their ceremony photos because her faces were so hilarious.


Their wedding was held at the beautiful Hertzog Homestead and it was so much fun....there was a coffee truck, ice cream truck, bonfire, smores, corn hole, volleyball, and of course lots of dancing!


Rachel & Vlad were wonderful to work with, which I knew they would be ever since we hung out with them at their engagement session last year. We had this vision for sunset photos to get photos with a tree that was waaaay out in the field, (it looked a lot closer than it actually was hahaha), and they were totally up for driving out to this tree in the golf cart - which ended up being a very bumpy, hilarious 10 minute ride! Kristen, the owner of the venue, was so accommodating to our photo requests and we are forever grateful to her for driving us out there to the tree because we ended up LOVING those photos!! It was so worth it :)


Vlad is a car guy and it was so fun incorporating that into both their engagement session and wedding. Apparently they just got a new puppy and named her "Mia" (short for "Miata") ;) SO CUTE!
