Wedding at the Barn at Stoneybrooke / Atglen, PA / Lauren & Mark

Wedding Photography

Lauren & Mark's wedding day was joyful, bright and colorful despite the overcast and kind of gloomy day. These two were so laid back and I loved the simplicity of their wedding day...even Lauren's dress; it was so simple, but stunning!!

Lauren & Mark's photo timeline was a bit different than what we are used to doing... We were supposed to start off the day with the Bride's first look with her father, but things were running a little behind, so I was able to grab some bridal detail shots quick (which I was happy about because those are my favorite, yay!) After Lauren's first look with her father, (which was so sweet!!), Lauren had the first look with Mark, (also very sweet), and then we went straight into formal photos and got ALL of the formals out of the way before the ceremony, (even all of the family photos!!) First looks are such a great option because it allows for way more photo time, and then the Bride & Groom are actually able to enjoy the cocktail hour rather than worrying about getting their photos done.

There was a high chance of rain, so they decided to move the ceremony indoors. Rain on your wedding day is good luck, right?! This was the first time we had done a wedding indoors at Stoneybrooke; it is so nice that they have the backup indoor ceremony space to put Bride's and Groom's minds at ease!! After the ceremony, instead of taking formal photos, we were actually able to grab some shots of the cocktail hour. It's been a long time since we have attended a cocktail hour, it was SO enjoyable, haha! The reception was full of laughter, fun, and....RAIN. But whenever there's rain....there's a rainbow! I am so happy that we were able to get a shot with Lauren & Mark and the rainbow on their beautiful wedding day! The rain stopped just in time for us to get some sunset photos as well, so it all worked out perfectly.

It is always a pleasure photographing weddings at the Barn at Stoneybrooke, and it's even better when the Bride & Groom are such wonderful people. <3 <3 <3
