I was Chrissy's color guard instructor for a couple years while she was in college. That's how I got to know and love her. When she stopped marching, we fell out of touch, but not too far, thanks to good old Facebook! About a year and a half ago, Chrissy reached out to me because she knew of my struggles with infertility and how vocal I have been about them. I was sad to learn that she was going through something similar. Without going into all the details, we'll just fast forward a year to when she sent me an image of this beautiful baby boy that they were adopting! I was beyond thrilled for Chrissy and Ryan and so stinkin excited to take this little guy's newborn photos!
I mean seriously, can we just discuss how cute he is?! And THAT HAIR!!!
I love this elephant hat!
I'm obsessed with Christmas, so any time I get to do a Christmas newborn set up I'm just giddy. I love the way this turned out.
And of course we had to get a close up of that amazing hair!
It's funny, Chrissy asked that I not post any family shots or tag them in any posts until they were ready to publicly announce the adoption. Obviously I completely understood and agreed. I also mentioned that we generally don't post many family shots anyway, cause, ya know, it's all about the baby! But then when I was editing the photos, I kept thinking, aw man, I can't believe I can't post these yet, all these family shots are SO great! These three are a VERY photogenic family! So I'm thrilled I can share them now!
And I just had to share this one outtake, look at his cute, little, red, scrunched up face!!
Chrissy and Ryan, once again, thank you so much for sharing your journey with me and for allowing me to capture such a precious, wonderful time in your life. I am so beyond happy for all three of you! It was a joy photographing all of you, I hope that you cherish these photos always. So much love to you guys.
