It's that time of the year for Senior Photos!!! :) We had a blast hanging out with Karis a couple weeks ago and we think, (we hope!), that she had fun as well ;) We were aware that Karis wasn't too fond of getting her picture taken...she was pretty much getting them done for her mom, haha! But I am so happy that she ended up asking me to do them <3 I mean, check out how beautiful this girl is!!!
Karis is one of the sweetest & kindest girls I have ever met.
She keeps to herself, yet makes everyone feel welcome.
She is a ridiculously talented gymnast and artist, (and there are more things to list here I am sure...) and yet extremely humble.
Of course we had to get a fun gymnast shot!
This field is along a path that Karis goes running on behind a shopping center/development - I drive past it all the time ...who knew this was back there!! Loved this location!
Karis let us experiment with a smoke bomb :) We LOVE smoke bombs!
There's her inner gymnast coming out again!
To be honest, we were a little disappointed with the weather that evening - it was dark, cloudy, and rainy... but thankfully you can't even tell, (right??) Nearing sunset time, we were hoping for some more color in the sky, but it was just SO cloudy. Even so, it still ended up being a lovely evening <3 As we were walking back to the parking lot where we parked our cars, we stopped by Gibraltar Restaurant to get some fun shots with their pretty lights hanging up outside.
Doesn't she have such a good "serious" face? I could NEVER pull that off...anyways we found out that Karis LOVES Christmas lights!! ;) hahaha. She was posing with this exact serious face and all of a sudden she says quickly in a low voice, (keeping a completely straight face), "I really love Christmas lights" and we just busted up laughing!! :D It probably was a "you had to be there" moment... I just love the chance for some good laughter! It was completely dark out, but we kept finding fun spots for photos on our walk back to the car :) lol & I don't normally shoot in the dark, but I actually like how these shots turned out. Poor Karis was probably wondering when I was going to let her go home!! hahaha Karis, thanks again for letting us take your senior photos! I can't wait to see what God has in store for you and I hope we stay in touch even after you're too old to come to youth group anymore... :)
