Maddie & Dan's wedding was in downtown Lancaster at Excelsior. I cannot believe that we didn't even know this place existed because it is so close to us and it is GORGEOUS. And it was also the perfect venue for this sweet couple.
Maddie & Dan's wedding was so unique...I loved their wedding day because they actually didn't do a lot of the standard stuff. They had a Quaker-style ceremony, the girls didn't carry flowers, they let their bridal party choose their outfits, they didn't have a cake...and it ended up being one of the most beautiful weddings we have ever been to.
My favorite thing about this venue is that they have a giant wall of succulents!!!
I loved the wood floors in the courtyard, so I had to take another shoe picture to show them off
The ladies getting ready!
Love this hair-piece
Getting on the dress! Love this moment on wedding days...
The bridal suite was such a fun & pretty room to get ready in - & I love this couch (I want one in my house!)
Even though the girls didn't carry flowers, they still had some beautiful floral decor all around the venue.
I had to get a picture of this bridesmaid's awesome hair! It matched everything so well, I loved it!
Look how lovely these ladies look with their mismatched dresses! Everything tied together so well.
I love laughter. THIS DRESS. love love love!
Guys waiting around for the ladies to finish getting ready ...
Guys' turn for photos!
These guys were great to work with & made my job easy!
Looking quite dapper!
First look with the bride's father...
And then the first look with the groom! <3
Having a first look meant more time for photos (yay!)
Maddie & Dan went to F&M College together, so that's where they wanted their photos taken, which was great because the campus is beautiful!
Then we headed back to Excelsior for some group shots.
Everyone cramming into the elevator - HAHA! Notice the lovely chalkboard art inside!
This building had so much character. Love this shot of the bride jut before the ceremony...
Ceremony time - Quaker style!
View of the ceremony from up top!
Such a beautiful courtyard. Guests were going through the receiving line from here & and then went over to the other courtyard (and underground catacombs) where the cocktail hour was taking place.
& on to the reception...

The new Mr. & Mrs.!!! :D
Father-Daughter & Mother-Son Dances...
Maddie & her father truly rocked out! haha
Look at this little dance stealer...
And Dan's father stepped in as well, haha. I love these people, they are hilarious!
Dinner Time! Catering by Jimmy Duffy Catering (YUM!)
This boy's mom asked if I had a pen she could use, and I wasn't sure why...but her little boy showed us later that he put the pen (and the programs) to good use! haha gotta love the creativity!
Then, rather than cake, everyone enjoyed some late night pie from The Baker's Table (which was SO SO good!)
And here is the bride & groom with our favorite coordinator, Stephanie Torres, who brought us together in the first place :) If you are ever looking for a coordinator, (or a house because she is now a realtor, haha) this lady is amazing!
The courtyard near the end of the evening...
Of course we couldn't pass up the opportunity to get an elevator shot!! :)
Maddie & Dan - you guys were so much fun to work with and be around... & I'm glad we had some more time to bond, especially during the car ride over to F&M ;) haha. We loved being a part of your special day & we wish you the best in your new lives together!!
